A brief history of the 737 technical information for pilots

The 737 made its maiden flight in 1967. Lufthansa being the launch customer placing orders in 1965. In 1993 the Next Generation 737 program was launched (NG) and Boeing started to phase in the variants 737-600, 737-700, 737-800 and 737-900. The NG moved from an EFIS instrument system; part glass and part analogue (as of the -300 / -400 -500) to a full glass cockpit. The 737-800 is a full glass cockpit and what we generally prepare most airline simulator preparation details on.
