737 simulator – airline simulator preparation

Boeing 737 Simulator check ride

The Boeing 737 is still the most commonly used pilot assessment simulator. But we can cover them all.

All elements of check ride covered

The check might be more of a handling check or a CRM check or both. Because of the detailed background knowledege that we have, we tailor to those requirements.

Structured approaches

In combination with our 737 simulator and training captains you will get the highest level of input to get through your check-ride.

The structure of our sessions at pmFlight is based around your current experience, designed to help you prepare for your simulator check ride. Whilst all our Boeing type sessions are made on the Boeing 737 NG series of aircraft, the simulator has capability to prep for BA (747-400) check rides and also Ryan Air 737-800 (in EFIS layout) as well as all other check rides typically done on 737 and 777 series of Boeing aircraft.

Instructors

Our instructors are highly experience on type, and will help you become fully familiar with the Boeing type philosophy and general operating procedures. A lot of check rides will fall into different categories, some pilots, if already type rated on another a/c type will often be asked to fly by your current SOPS. However most check rides will require you to learn and fly a new set of SOPS.

Typical training areas

  • Boeing simulator profiles as per the actual check ride
    • Normal Take-off  (EFATO [where required])
    • Approach Profiles (inc NPA)
    • Go-Around
    • CRM
    • Management Exercises
  • Typical calls, check list & flows (where required)

In your 737 simulator session we ensure to give you key handling tips associated to the 737 series of aircraft, notably the pitch power couple. Our aim is to get you comfortable in this particular aircraft type and to develop a good working knowledge of pitch and power settings along with the flap and speed schedule. This foundation work and general familiarisation will free up your capacity to deal with the check ride itself. Depending on which specific check ride, we may also use the time to refresh management skills with notechs and for type rated pilots technical issues that may crop up. The 737 simulator can generate many typical malfunctions.
